Why an electrical company makes garden software

Underneath SUPLAN sits a 2D drawing engine: plans to scale, textured materials, a symbol library, quantities and a PDF export. For an inspection file you draw a site layout with it. For a garden you draw a planting plan. The difference is in the library and the rules, not in the engine.

And one piece was already finished and turned out to be worth even more for a garden than for an electrical file: pulling the plot from the land registry. An electrician uses it to start a floor plan. A garden designer builds their whole plan on it.
