Everything on the plan counts too

SUPGARDEN is not a drawing program with a plant list next to it. The plan IS the source: every surface, every line and every plant you draw appears immediately in the quantities and in the plant list.

The plot from the land registry

You type an address in Flanders and the app pulls the plot boundary, the house footprint, the outbuildings and existing paving from the official GRB web service — in metres, so to scale. The estimated building height comes from the elevation model and north is set correctly from the start.

Drawing in real metres

The drawing engine works in metres, not pixels. What you measure on screen is what ends up on site. Points snap to a 25 cm grid and to existing corners; hold Shift to keep a line square.

Paving and planting as materials

Every surface gets a material, and the material decides both how it looks and how it counts. Lawn, bed and bark count as plantable green; pavers, slabs, decking, gravel and concrete as paving; water counts as neither — you excavate a pond but you don't fill it with topsoil.

A plant library with real dimensions

Every plant carries its mature height and width, its flowering period and colour, its aspect, whether it is evergreen, and its planting density per metre or per m². The crown shown on the plan is therefore not a pictogram but the space the plant actually takes.

Growth over time

One slider puts the garden in year 1, 5, 10 or 20. Each plant follows its own curve towards its mature width — fast, moderate or slow. You see straight away whether your beds close up by year 8, and you convince the client who thinks the plan looks bare.

Quantities and plant list

The numbers sit to the right of the plan and recalculate as you draw: m² per material, running metres of hedge and edging, total paving, m³ of excavation and m³ of topsoil. The plant list counts each species separately, and a hedge line is converted into a number of plants.
